Patong's flagship shopping mall, a large air-conditioned complex that takes up an entire block one street back from Beach Road. It is what most tourists head for when the midday heat becomes unbearable: department stores, branded fashion, a Big C supermarket on the basement level, a cinema, and food courts.
Outside the mall, the surrounding plazas host buskers and street performers in the evenings, and the well-regarded Phuket Simon Cabaret runs nearby. Jungceylon is also the easiest place to pick up basic supplies — beach towels, sunblock, electronics, prescription glasses — at fixed shop prices rather than haggled markets.
