Wat Wang Wiwekaram is the spiritual centre of the Mon side of Sangkhla Buri. It is associated with Luang Phor Uttama, the monk who helped found Wang Kha after fleeing Burma and who remains deeply respected in the community.
The main temple and the nearby Chedi Buddhakhaya are worth the walk across the bridge. Dress modestly and move quietly; this is a working religious site, not just a viewpoint.
