Oneroa is the largest of Mangaia's villages and the main point of arrival from the airport. A long row of single-storey houses, two churches, the island's administration office, and a small store make up the centre. The CICC church is the more striking of the two and worth a stop for the Sunday singing.
This is where most visitors stay and where guesthouses arrange cave tours and bicycle hire.
