Big Valley Jamboree is Camrose's one genuinely big-ticket event. The country music festival takes over the exhibition grounds on the August long weekend, bringing in campers, major performers, and a crowd far larger than the city usually sees.
It is not a reason to visit Camrose on a random Tuesday, but it is absolutely the reason to time a trip if you like country music. Book and plan early; during the festival, Camrose is not its usual quiet self.
