Willow Creek Hoodoos

Fragile sandstone hoodoos on the badlands road between Drumheller and East Coulee.

The Willow Creek Hoodoos are the classic quick badlands stop on the road east from Drumheller. The pillars are small rather than monumental, but the shapes are strange, fragile, and unmistakably tied to this eroded valley landscape.

Stay on the marked paths. The hoodoos are easy to damage, and the best view is from a little distance anyway.
