Fort Chipewyan Bicentennial Museum

The Bicentennial Museum is a full-size replica of an 1870s Hudson's Bay Company store, built for Fort Chipewyan's 1988 bicentennial. Inside are photographs, fur-trade material, local family records, Indigenous cultural displays, and the kind of small-town archive that matters more because the surrounding landscape is so remote.

Start here before wandering the church sites or the lakefront. It gives Fort Chip a human scale.
