The Snye is Fort McMurray's downtown riverfront, where the Snye channel meets the Clearwater River. It is used for paddling, events, walks, picnics, and the simple business of getting close to the water in a city often defined from the outside by industry.
It is a modest park, but it matters to the feel of the place. Come here after the Oil Sands Discovery Centre to put the city back into its river setting.
