Nanton's historic main street is the connective tissue between its museums. The storefronts, antique shops, small galleries, and old commercial buildings give the town a lived-in prairie feel rather than a polished heritage-district performance.
It is worth walking slowly after the Bomber Command Museum or the grain elevators. The best finds are small: signs, shopfronts, reused buildings, and the sense that the highway town still has a centre of its own.
