The Sundre and District Museum is the best indoor anchor in town. It combines a pioneer village with local exhibits on ranching, trapping, settlement, and the people who built communities along the Red Deer River.
It is most useful at the start of a visit, before you head out to the river or foothills, because it gives the landscape a human story.
