The 'Namgis Big House is a community and ceremonial building, not a tourist attraction in the ordinary sense. The present structure was opened in 1999 after an earlier Big House was lost to fire.
When public cultural performances are scheduled, they can be a memorable part of a visit. At other times, treat the building and surrounding poles with the same respect you would give any active cultural or religious space.
