Delta Nature Reserve protects a publicly accessible edge of Burns Bog, one of Metro Vancouver's major peatland ecosystems. Boardwalks and forest trails keep visitors above the wet ground while giving a close look at moss, cedar, salal and the strange quiet of bog habitat.
It is a subtle place rather than a scenic lookout. Go slowly, stay on the trails and treat it as an introduction to the vast wetland next door, much of which is protected precisely because it is too fragile for casual wandering.
