Columbia Lake Provincial Park protects a quiet piece of the lake south of Fairmont, near the headwaters country of the Columbia River system. It is a simple nature stop rather than a full-service park, best for a picnic, lake views, and birdlife along the valley floor.
It pairs well with the hoodoos because the two landscapes are so different: dry cliffs on one side of town, open lake and wetlands on the other.
