Mike Lake is a small, quiet lake on the west side of the park, reached by a short trail from the Mike Lake parking area. The loop around the lake takes about an hour and passes through second-growth forest recovering from earlier logging. In contrast to the busier Alouette Lake, Mike Lake sees few visitors even on summer weekends.
The lake is also the starting point for the Alouette Mountain trail, a demanding full-day hike that climbs through increasingly open terrain to views across Pitt Meadows and the Fraser Valley. The trail gains serious elevation and requires route-finding experience on its upper sections — it is not signed as consistently as the main park trails.
