Porteau Cove Provincial Park is a small, highly scenic stop on Howe Sound, with a beach, picnic areas, a pier, and big views across the water to the islands and mountains. It is one of the easiest places on the Sea to Sky Highway to pull over and feel the sound rather than just admire it from the road.
The water is cold, but divers come for the artificial reef and sunken vessels offshore. For everyone else, the draw is simpler: a short shoreline walk, clear weather views, and sunset light on the steep walls of the sound.
