The Museum of the Cariboo-Chilcotin is the best indoor stop for understanding Williams Lake's ranching and rodeo identity. Its collection covers regional history, local First Nations, the Williams Lake rodeo, and the BC Cowboy Hall of Fame.
It is especially useful before driving deeper into the Cariboo or west into the Chilcotin, where the scale of ranch country starts to make more sense.
