The Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site is Baddeck's essential stop. Bell did not invent the telephone here, but his Baddeck years produced experiments in flight, hydrofoils, kites, and sound, all interpreted with models, photographs, and original material.
The setting matters as much as the displays. The museum looks across the Bras d'Or Lake toward Beinn Bhreagh, Bell's private estate, making the link between landscape and restless invention easy to feel.
