The Whalesback memorial north of Peggy's Cove marks one side of the triangle between the crash site and the second memorial at Bayswater. Swissair Flight 111 went down offshore on 2 September 1998, killing everyone aboard.
It is a sober stop rather than a major sight, but the setting is powerful: stone, sea, and the open Atlantic where the disaster happened.
