Arnprior and District Museum

Local history museum in Arnprior's old post office and library.

The Arnprior and District Museum occupies the handsome old post office and library, the clock-towered sandstone building that helps define the centre of town. Inside, the exhibits cover lumber, river travel, settlement, and daily life in the upper Ottawa Valley.

It is small, but it gives the town useful context before you walk the riverfront or Gillies Grove. The building itself is half the appeal.
