Ranney Falls Suspension Bridge

The Ranney Falls suspension footbridge is a 91-metre cable bridge that crosses the Trent Gorge at the south end of Ferris Provincial Park. The bridge hangs about 28 metres above the river and the rapids of Ranney Falls below — a serious drop, and the bridge gives a soft bounce underfoot that surprises first-time visitors.

The view downstream over the Trent and the wooded gorge is the best in Campbellford. The bridge is part of the park's main trail loop and is open year-round, though winter conditions can make the access trail icy. Allow about 30 minutes for the loop walk; longer if you want to follow the river upstream to Lock 11.
