1000 Islands Playhouse gives Gananoque a cultural anchor beyond boats. The main theatre occupies the former Gananoque Canoe Club on the waterfront, with another stage in the old fire hall nearby.
The season runs roughly from late spring into autumn. It is a good evening plan if you are staying after a day on the river.
