The museum occupies the old Canadian Pacific Railway station, a handsome 1903 building in the heart of downtown. The galleries cover the city's history from Anishinaabe occupation along the Mattawa-Nipissing trade route, through the fur trade, lumbering, railways, and the World War II Norwegian Air Force training camp that operated nearby.
A small but well-curated collection. Good place to make sense of how this junction of two rail lines and a great lake grew into a regional capital.
