The Orillia Museum of Art and History is a compact local museum in the old Sir Sam Steele Memorial Building, close to the opera house. It mixes regional history with changing art exhibitions, so the visit depends a little on what is showing.
It works best as part of a downtown walk. The building, clock tower, and local collection give Orillia more depth than the waterfront alone.
