A leafy residential neighbourhood south of downtown along Bank Street, between the Rideau Canal and the Queensway. The Glebe is full of red-brick Edwardian houses, independent bookshops, design stores, brunch spots and small restaurants — the kind of place locals come on a Saturday afternoon. Lansdowne Park at its southern edge has a public market on Sundays in summer and hosts the Ottawa Redblacks football games. In winter the canal along its eastern edge is one of the prettiest stretches of the Skateway.
