Harness racing is part of Prince Edward Island's summer calendar, and Summerside Raceway is one of the places where that culture is still visible. The track is believed to be among Canada's oldest continuously used racing tracks.
It is most interesting during race days and the July Lobster Carnival period, when the sport feels less like a niche pastime and more like a town tradition.
