Holy Trinity Anglican Church

Holy Trinity Anglican Church stands at Stanley Mission on the Churchill River, far enough from La Ronge that it needs planning but important enough to include in the same northern travel circuit. Built between 1854 and 1860, it is the oldest surviving building in Saskatchewan.

The white timber church is striking because of the contrast: Gothic Revival form, Cree craftsmanship, imported details, and a remote river setting. Access is seasonal and local conditions matter, so check before treating it as a simple day trip.
