Danceland is the best survivor of Manitou Beach's old resort days. Built in 1928, it is known for its horsehair-sprung dance floor, a detail that sounds like folklore until you step onto it.
Check the schedule before you come. Seeing the hall by day is interesting, but it makes far more sense when there is music, a buffet, or an evening dance.
