The Ravine Ecological Preserve is Yorkton's easiest outdoor reset. Its trail runs through grassland, wetland, and aspen parkland, with a floating boardwalk, frog pond, native trees, and signs that point out the remains of the Dulmage Farmstead.
It is not wilderness, but it does give the city a piece of prairie ecology you can walk without leaving town. That matters in a region where most travellers experience the landscape through a windshield.
