Western Development Museum Yorkton

Prairie history museum focused on early immigrant life in Saskatchewan.

The Yorkton branch of the Western Development Museum is the best single stop in town. Its exhibits focus on the immigrant families who came to early Saskatchewan, the work of settlement, and the machinery and household details that made prairie life possible.

The giant Twin City gas tractor is the showpiece, but the museum is more useful as context. After a long drive through grain country, it helps explain the human effort behind the landscape.
