The Casa de Campo marina sits along a protected inlet a few kilometres from La Romana town and functions as a self-contained village of waterfront restaurants, boutiques, ice cream shops, and a small fishing port. The marina itself berths yachts from across the Caribbean and regularly hosts regattas. Non-guests of the Casa de Campo resort can drive or taxi in, use the restaurants, and walk the dockside promenade.
The views of the boats and the surrounding green hills are pleasant, and the atmosphere in the evening — when the restaurants fill up with guests and visiting sailors — is lively. The golf courses at Casa de Campo (designed by Pete Dye, they are among the best in the Caribbean) are accessible to resort guests, but the marina restaurants are open to anyone.
