Sanchez Beach is both beach and working waterfront, which makes it more interesting than a simple strip of sand. Boats are hauled, repaired, launched, and discussed here; on a small island, the beach is part of the island's public workshop.
It is also associated with sailing, fishing, and the social side of Petite Martinique's regatta culture. Swim only when conditions look sensible, and remember that local boat traffic has priority over visitors looking for a quiet float.
