Jerome's Sliding Jail is a quick roadside oddity, but a good one. Ground movement caused by mining and unstable hillside soils pushed the old jail downhill from its original site.
It is not a long visit. Treat it as a short stop while walking the upper part of town, and as a reminder that Jerome's setting has always been part of its trouble.
