The World Equestrian Center is a vast competition and events complex west of Ocala. It is polished, commercial, and much newer than the old horse farms, but it shows how seriously the region takes equestrian sport.
Check the calendar before going. When hunter-jumper, dressage, or other horse shows are running, spectators can often get close enough to enjoy the scale and discipline of the sport even without knowing the details.
