The Boathouse Oyster Bar sits on the Grand Lagoon side of the strip, away from the beach crowds, and serves raw oysters, boiled shrimp, and fish baskets in a classic Florida waterside setting. The decor is what you'd expect — boat parts, nets, license plates — but the oysters are the real draw: fat, briny, Gulf oysters served ice-cold with crackers and hot sauce.
This is the kind of place that feels like it belongs here, unlike much of the resort development. Prices are lower than the beach-facing restaurants. Go for the oysters and the boiled shrimp; skip the fried things unless you're specifically in the mood.
