Church Street Historic District

The Church Street Historic District is a compact downtown grid of late nineteenth and early twentieth century brick storefronts, churches, and bungalows. It is the heart of Dade City's pleasant walkability — a few square blocks of two-storey buildings with covered sidewalks, antique shops, restaurants, and the kind of slow Florida pace that has mostly vanished elsewhere in the state.

The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in the 1990s. A walking-tour map is available at the visitor information desk inside the courthouse; the loop takes about an hour with stops, more if you wander into the shops.
