The Miner's Hat is a novelty roadside building on East Cameron Avenue shaped like a giant miner's helmet, built in the 1950s when the mining industry was at its peak and Kellogg was a prosperous town. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as an example of mid-century programmatic architecture — buildings designed in the shape of the product or trade they represent.
The building has had various uses over the years and is now a local landmark that represents Kellogg's industrial past in a more affectionate light than the Superfund site. It is impossible to drive past without stopping.
