The Harmonist Labyrinth is a reconstructed hedge maze with a small temple at its center. It points back to the German religious community that founded New Harmony in 1814 and tried to build spiritual discipline into everyday life.
It is a short visit, but a good one. Walking the slow path through the hedges makes the town's history feel physical rather than abstract.
