Ohio River Riverfront

The riverfront is the reason the town exists, and it is still the most atmospheric corner of Tell City. The Ohio bends wide and slow here, and the levee park at the foot of Main Street has benches, a small boat ramp, and a wide view back across to the wooded Kentucky shore.

It is a working stretch of river — you will see coal barges and the occasional towboat going by — and the Tell City Pretzel Co. smokestack and a couple of old commercial buildings face the water at the edge of downtown. Sunsets over the Kentucky hills are the best reason to come down at the end of the day.
