Shaker Landing is the river side of the Pleasant Hill visit. From here, paddlers can get onto the Kentucky River and the Dix River, where limestone palisades make the landscape feel older and wilder than the farmland above.
It is not a casual stroll from downtown Harrodsburg, but it rounds out the trip nicely: Shaker architecture on the ridge, then river cliffs below.
