Nashoba Valley Ski Area

Nashoba Valley is a small ski area on the same property as the winery, with about 15 trails and a vertical drop of 240 feet — modest by any measure, but perfectly suited to beginners and families who want to learn to ski within easy reach of Boston. The mountain gets natural snow augmented by snowmaking, and operates from late November through March when conditions allow.

There is also a tubing park that is extremely popular with families on winter weekends — expect queues. The ski school here has a good reputation for teaching children and adult beginners. If you are an experienced skier looking for a challenge, you will exhaust the trails in a morning and want to head north to Vermont or New Hampshire. But for a quick winter outing close to the city, Nashoba Valley does the job.
