Stony Brook Grist Mill

Historic mill site with old milling equipment and a spring herring run nearby.

Stony Brook Grist Mill stands on the foundations of an 1873 woollen mill and keeps old milling equipment and a century-old loom. It is a small stop, but very Cape Cod in scale and texture.

The best time is April into early May, when the adjacent herring run brings fish up the brook. Outside that season, it is still a pleasant piece of local history.
