Pilgrim Monument

The Pilgrim Monument is Provincetown's 252-foot granite tower, built to commemorate the Mayflower's first landing in the harbour in 1620. Its design was inspired by the Torre del Mangia in Siena, and it has become the town's most visible landmark.

The climb is the reason to go. From the top you get a broad view over Provincetown, the harbour, Cape Cod Bay, and the curling line of dunes toward the outer Cape. The Provincetown Museum sits at the base, so the tower and museum are easy to visit together.
