Holland State Park is the main beach outing from town. It sits where Lake Macatawa opens into Lake Michigan, with broad sand, dunes, and long sunset views over the water.
The famous Big Red lighthouse stands across the channel, so the park is also the easiest place to get the classic view. It is busy in summer, but it gives Holland its lake edge.
