The Black History Gallery is a small, serious museum founded by longtime educator Hilda Casin. Its strength is not scale but density: photographs, school records, newspaper clippings, family material, and local artifacts that place McComb and Pike County inside the larger story of Black life in Mississippi.
It is especially worthwhile if you are following civil-rights history through the state. McComb saw voter-registration drives, student protests, arrests, bombings, and intimidation in the 1960s; this gallery keeps that local memory close to the people who lived it.
