Isle of Capri Boonville

Riverboat-style casino on the Missouri River, the town's largest single employer

Whatever you think of casino tourism, the Isle of Capri is a fixture of Boonville life — it sits on the south bank of the river just below the bridge and is the town's largest single employer. Originally a true riverboat (Missouri law for many years required casinos to be on water), it is now a moored facility with gaming floor, hotel, restaurants, and an event space.

Most visitors are weekend trade from Kansas City and Columbia. It has none of the historic character of downtown but is handy if you need late-night food or a non-historic place to sleep on a Missouri River trip.
