A local history museum on Boulder Highway with exhibits covering the prehistory, indigenous cultures, and pioneer settlement of the Las Vegas Valley. The Heritage Street section is the highlight: a collection of restored historic buildings — a 1905 railroad cottage, a 1930s gas station, a 1940s bungalow — moved from around the county and arranged as a small outdoor village. Modest in scope but well done, and a good antidote to the city's habit of demolishing its past.
