Acacia Demonstration Gardens

A public garden in Henderson designed specifically to show how to landscape in the Mojave Desert without using excessive water. The garden contains hundreds of drought-tolerant plant species — native desert plants, succulents, cacti, and low-water ornamentals from arid regions around the world — all labelled and arranged to demonstrate what a well-designed desert garden can look like.

This is a useful stop for anyone who lives in or is thinking about moving to the Las Vegas Valley, but also interesting for visitors who want to understand the local ecology. The garden is free and open during park hours. It is part of a larger city park, and the path through the plant collections takes about 30 to 45 minutes.
