Panaca Ward Chapel

1860s Mormon meetinghouse and one of the oldest surviving buildings in Lincoln County.

Panaca Ward Chapel dates from the first years of the Mormon settlement and is one of the oldest buildings in Lincoln County. Its plain shape suits the town: practical, religious, and far from the mining-camp bravado of nearby Pioche.

It is a short stop rather than a deep visit, but it helps explain why Panaca feels different from most small Nevada towns.
