Croton Point Park

Broad Hudson River peninsula with walks, lawns, beach access, and big Tappan Zee views.

Croton Point Park pushes out into the Hudson, giving the village its best open-water views. It is a good place for a picnic, a winter walk, or a summer river stop when the lower Hudson Valley feels crowded elsewhere.

The park also has deeper history, from Indigenous use of the point to colonial farms and later river recreation. You do not need to study all of it to enjoy the view, but it adds weight to the walk.
