The Old Croton Aqueduct is now a long walking and cycling trail, but its original job was to bring clean Croton water to New York City. In Croton-on-Hudson it gives you an easy way to connect the village, the river, and the larger engineering story.
Bring a map if you plan more than a short stroll. The trail threads through several towns and is not always obvious where modern streets interrupt it.
