☰Arnot Art Museum

A small but worthwhile fine arts museum housed in an 1833 mansion and a modern addition, built around the collection of businessman Matthias Arnot. The permanent collection covers European old masters and American paintings from the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. There is also a gallery of decorative arts with period furniture and ceramics. The museum is a short walk from downtown and admission is modest.
